Manipulating, distorting, and distressing the fabric, layering up with thread and stitch, and including found materials and objects ... These actions allow you to create exciting qualities and textures on your textile surface.
Lesson Plan
The aim of this workshop is to look at many different ways of creating texture, depth and dimension on stitchable surfaces. We will study some of my favourite tips and tricks. I'll show you how they are achieved, and then you will have the opportunity to make your own samples, trying out whatever interests you the most. You'll go away with lots of ideas and hopefully plenty of enthusiasm to carry on experimenting.
